This week’s College Fashionisto is originally from Rhode Island but attends Misercordia University, a small liberal college where layering is a must. Although he never layered much before, he now incorporates layering in almost every fall and winter outfit. On his free time, he gives shape-ups and barbers other Misericordia students for some extra cash. However his barber back home cut his rockin' new fohawk over Thanksgiving break.
According to Cool Men’s Hairs, the fohawk hairstyle has been around for a while: even back to ancient Egypt! Yet the look is modern. Recent celebrities have this fierce cut including the unforgettable David Beckham. Even if you are not a futbol fan, this man looks amazing with a fohawk cut. Likewise with this week’s Fashionisto! Mannyfreshcutz and Babymario310 have great tutorials for how to a cut a fohawk. If you are a self-taught barber like this Fashionisto, these are definitely links you should check out. This haircut is low-maintenance, great for any College student who is busy with tons of school work. This Fashionisto uses Axe Pomenade daily to style his hair. Although I’ve never used it before, amazon gives it 4.5 out of 5!
Although this fohawk completes his fierce outfit, his clothing is also definitely worthy of praise. His “Rough Streets Divided” cardigan is from H&M and his button up and jeans are from Express. His Express wardrobe has increased due to his relatively recent employment at Express. How lucky! To finish off this outfit, add black sneakers, a black watch and small black studs.
This Fashionisto says he always “gotta look fly, never scrappy.” This motto may be tough for some Fashionistas and Fashionistos especially during finals week; but finals week doesn’t stop him from dressing up. So this weekend check out those links and maybe even give the fohawk cut a try! Until next time, happy styling!
