ALL ABOUT BEAUTY: Face Fuel

All About Beauty

Winter weather is hard on the skin. Brisk temperatures, wind and indoor heating all leave skin feeling very dry, especially your face, which is extra sensitive. To battle the elements and keep his skin moisturized, today’s Fashionisto uses Kiehl’s Facial Fuel, an energizing moisture treatment for men. The brand offers an array of Facial Fuel products including a tonic and scrub–another essential product; It helps to slough off dead skin cells creating a smooth base for moisturizer. Women can also take their pick of Kiehl’s moisturizers; there’s the Ultra Facial Cream, which also comes in a gel version for a non-greasy feel.

Besides moisturizing, there are other ways to keep your skin hydrated this season. Teen Vogue's beauty and health director Eva Chen tweeted recently: “beauty reminder: the best thing you can do for skin this winter (besides investing in a face oil serum) is to get a humidifier for each room.” You can get a humidifier from Bed Bath & Beyond. The ones that are good for small rooms (like a dorm room, for instance) are only $30.

Once you’re done investing in good skincare, you can look to this Fashionisto’s outfit for some serious style tips. He’s doing cozy chic in the best way possible. A pair of black skinnies, black boots, a mustard-brown sweater and black knit snood assemble nicely for a great look for men. I like that he’s doing chunky up top but sleek at the bottom. While his outfit is mostly black, he chooses a contrasting sweater to mix it up. His outfit is reminiscent of street wear king Alexander Wang’s fall 2012 collection, which featured a similar look comprised of a colored sweater paired with black pants that slouched into black shoes.
