This week’s CollegeFashionista is known for comfortable yet classy style here on Misericordia campus. She loves wearing dresses and after four years of sewing classes inside and outside her high school class, she knows a thing or two about sewing them too! This Fashionista dream job of being a designer can totally come true…can you say Project Runway?
Besides her amazing sewing skills, this girl has gorgeous natural curls. Although she says her hair has a mind of its own, she has a few quick winter tricks for Fashionistas with curly hair! Since it’s the winter, she adds Garnier Fructis Leave-in Conditioner to her daily hair routine. Leave-in conditioner is used on hair to reduce frizz, tame thick curly hair or hydrate very dry hair. Leave-in conditioner is not for everyone; check out Naturally Curly’s article to see if leave-in conditioner is a hair product for you! Personally I have never tried leave-in conditioner. But a lot of people have recommended it to me since I have thick hair. Although I am still shopping around, Bumble and bumble is currently my favorite. If you are DIY gal, check out this simple recipe for homemade leave-in conditioner. Another neat trick this Fashionista learned from her beautician at Jolie Academy was finishing off a hair wash with a good cold rinse. This tricks helps for hair prone to frizz. I started this about a month ago and it really works!
Her voluminous curly hair is a perfect hairstyle for this fitted vibrant red dress. Adding a simple bracelet and ring accessories adds a simple and cute touch to her outfit. Her ring is from a local consignment shop called Rumor Has It. To finish off her look, she adds brown tights and boots that she bought on sale from JC Penney’s. This outfit is perfect for brunch with the girls or a study day at the library.
This week’s Fashionista gave us some great hair tips especially for the cold weather. Remember to check out those articles and find out if leave-in conditioner is a hair product for you. Until next time, happy styling!
