ALL IN THE DETAILS: Yeezy Season

Kanye West has taken the fashion world by storm (again) with the release of his Yeezy Season 3 collection. Maybe it’s his unbelievably large ego that is getting so much attention or the fact that everyone wants to wear sweats and still be fashionable, but Kanye has found a way to make grunge-wear high fashion and I am all for it.

‘Athleisure’ is quickly becoming my favorite way to dress. This style is effortless and now, thanks to Kanye and other fashion designers, super hip. To me, there’s nothing better than wearing gym clothes without actually going to the gym. Now my gym clothes and shoes actually make a statement. The beauty of ‘athleisure’ was originally comfort, but now it’s also fashionable. Guys have also started taking advantage of this comfy trend. They are evolving past basketball shorts and T-shirts into something more sophisticated and less gym rat.

This fashionisto knows how to rock ‘Athleisure’ pieces with polish. The joggers he is wearing aren’t the typical sweatpants that joggers usually are. They’re made of trouser material and feature a zipper on the side. The details of the pants add a sophistication that regular joggers don’t have.

The pairing of the olive green pants with the Oakley sunglasses makes the outfit cohesive without being too matchy-matchy. The green lenses add just the right amount of flash. His black bomber jacket and white shirt are the perfect neutral pieces to go with this outfit because they are structured enough to add to it but understated enough to not take away from the star component of the outfit.

The statement of this outfit is undoubtedly the Yeezy Boost 350’s he is rocking in Moonrock. The shoe has been Kanye’s biggest fashion success in all three of his fashion shows. It is because of this that Yeezy’s are one of the most coveted sneakers at the moment, selling out almost as soon as they are restocked. But, this Fashionisto landed a pair and has definitely been noticed around the suburban city we live in.

How To: Since Yeezy’s are super hard to get your hands on, wear your best pair of statement sneakers with joggers or jeans and a neutral top to get a polished but casual look.
