If anyone is as obsessed with The Bachelor or The Bachelorette as I am then you are more than familiar with the phrase, “Will you accept this rose?” Let’s be honest though, who needs a handsome bachelor to hand you one of his few roses when you can get yourself rose gold instead. The classic metal that rejuvenated the West Coast during the Gold Rush is back with a new twist. Rose gold has been sweeping the nation for a while now, but when I spotted this Fashionista on her way to dinner I knew I had to write a post about it. She looked fab with her Fossil rose gold watch that she paired with a tan Michael Kors cross-body bag. She assembled the perfect girl’s night out ensemble!
Normally at this time of the year, I get bored with my summer wardrobe, but I don’t want to spend the money to buy more summer pieces since colder weather is on its way. So come August I am always looking for easy ways to spice up my old outfits and rose gold jewelry is the perfect solution. The thing I adore most about this trend is that you can easily switch out your favorite, slightly over-styled gold pieces and replace them with rose gold, just like this Fashionista did like a pro.
Another route you can go with the rose gold trend is one of my favorite things to do: mixing metals. I love the way silver, gold and rose gold look together. I have a necklace that combines the three flawlessly, and if you’re lazy (like me) you can simply wear it with every outfit. No matter what you are wearing and no matter what other jewelry you are pairing it with, it will always be a match made in accessory heaven.
How To: If you don’t already have rose gold pieces in your jewelry collection they aren’t hard to find these days. I recommend not spending a fortune on your pieces though, because like always, this trend may not be around for long! Shop for them at places like Bauble Bar, Forever 21 or Fossil. Pair it with a casual outfit like this Fashionista did, and mix it with other metals if you feeling like breaking the rules. There aren’t many ways you can go wrong with this amazing trend!
