ALL IN THE DETAILS: White It Out

There’s no questioning that this past winter brought a surge of new trends that were completely unexpected and ground-breaking. Fashionistas and trendsetters worldwide made major alterations to their closets and personal styles and revealed a different side to women’s fashion that was as surprising as it was pleasant. As you all know, there was a huge transition from dark colors to light, pastel ones which gave all looks their own unique and funky twist.

White was one of the colors that was most predominant this past winter—there’s no denying that. Whoever said that white can only be worn during spring and summer clearly didn’t know what he was talking about. White pants were everywhere. Literally. E-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. Now don’t get me wrong— I’m not complaining. Of course not. The white pant craze was one of the trends that I really liked and enjoyed and I can honestly say that I’m beyond excited to see it continue and become even more popular now in the spring. White pants are a statement piece on their own and have the ability to be matched with anything and everything. They take all casual outfits up a notch and give them a laid back effortlessly chic vibe that can make anyone stand out from a crowd.

This Fashionista totally knew what she was doing with her outfit. I spotted her walking around campus wearing the perfect pair of ripped ankle-length white pants that immediately caught my attention and made me want to stop her. She kept her look rather minimal, pairing the pants with a simple black T-shirt and a light black jacket to keep her warm from New York’s spring breeze. For her shoes, she wore a beautiful pair of tan and white slip-on sneakers that showed off some sporty edginess, played with the rest of the outfit’s colors and also added another major trend to the look. To fit in with the rest of the outfit’s overall minimalistic vibe, she kept her accessories simple and only added a gorgeous gold watch and bangle, a gold ring with a turquoise stone on it and a tan belt to complement the color of the shoes.

Easygoing, comfortable, simple and yet elegant, cute and trendy. Keep up the good work, girl.
