The ‘90s is by far the best decade! No one can forget classic TV shows like Full House and The Fresh Price of Bel Air. Aside from popular TV shows, the fashion of this decade was undeniably unforgettable. The fashion was so monumental that one iconic style has seemingly resurfaced over the last few years.
If you’re on top of trends, you’ve probably noticed that grunge is back. The popular style originated from Seattle and the popular grunge music scene during the ’90s. To this day, I’m still a fan of Alice and Chains. The style is also renowned for its anti-fashion appeal and “I don’t care” attitude. Fashionistas, it’s time to pull out the flannel and tear some denim!
This Fashionista definitely took me back to my favorite decade with her grunge-inspired outfit. I absolutely adored how she incorporated different pieces that naturally clashed. Her long sleeved flannel shirt worn around her waist in combination with her crop top epitomized this. My favorite piece was her graphic crop top. The top definitely made a statement. Her distressed shorts were also a classic ode to the ‘90s and summer fashion. Additionally, the fishnet stockings amped up the edge factor for her outfit. There’s no doubt that this Fashionista is a rebel at heart!
How To: If you want to channel your inner rock star or establish some concert gear this summer, grunge is your go-to style. It’s about originality and going against the grain. Make sure to pair items that naturally clash, like leather and lace and floral and fishnets. If you’re looking to amp up the rebel in your outfit, rock your favorite band T-shirt or step out with a killer pair of combat boots!
