ALL IN THE DETAILS: Vests

It’s spring, but here in Oneonta it still kind of feels like winter. It’s insane that we’re approaching finals week, and it’s still acceptable to wear winter accessories. Even though the sun is shining most days now, don’t let the weather be deceiving. The wind chill is keeping us away from the cute sundresses and flip flops.

I spotted this Fashionista rocking a classic look to go with this confusing weather. One article of clothing that is definitely vital on cool and sunny days is a vest. A vest is the perfect aesthetic to keep your chest warm, without bombarding you with huge puffy sleeves. A light sweatshirt underneath will help give you the trending cute and casual look.

This Fashionista especially stood out to me while walking by on campus. I loved how she paired a bright and vibrant Victoria’s Secret PINK crewneck with a contrasting black vest. Since finals week is quickly approaching, most students are spending their time studying in the library. No one wants to study in constricting jeans or tight clothes. This Fashionista pulled off the perfect study outfit by adding a pair of leggings.

A puffy vest isn’t the only way to score a perfect spring outfit. Hopefully, the weather will ease up and the temperatures will start rising.

How to: In a week or two the weather should be much warmer. In this case ditch the puffy vest and rock a jean vest. Jean vests are a perfect aesthetic to add to tank tops or sundresses. You’ll be sure to be taking those finals in style!
