Finally, my favorite time of the year. Leaves changing, pumpkin spice sweets, and my absolute favorite holiday, Thanksgiving! Yes, Fashionistas/os fall is here and velvet is in! Now don’t get me wrong, I still love oversized sweaters, fur, and denim trends. But this time around velvet has my heart. From bodysuits, shirts, boots, and pants. I feel like it’s just never enough.
I’ll start with these velvet boots I bought last year. First off, for not having any platform, they are the most comfortable booties I own. I’m on my feet for about eight hours at work so to have super cute, yet comfortable shoes are a win-win as a Style Guru. They’re also a great way to spice up a simple fall look, like an oversized sweater and leggings.
Another great way to add to a simple fall look, is a velvet jacket. When I say I’m obsessed with this motorcycle jacket, I’m seriously OBSESSED. This was probably the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. Burgundy is definitely a favorite fall color of mine. So being able to find a burgundy motorcycle jacket, that was velvet, made it a great buy. Perfect for fall, but still warm enough to wear once winter starts.
Chokers are a must (at least for me they are) so it was so important to find a velvet choker for the fall season. If you’re afraid to add a little velvet in your life, start by adding a velvet choker to your outfit. Forever 21 has some of the best accessories. They saved the day when I was able to find this beauty. I love the detailed faux gems on this choker. What got me was the pretty burgundy color (of course).For fun, I added these super cute cat eye sunglasses to finish off this look.
