ALL IN THE DETAILS: Two-Toned

November 4th, 2015 at 2:00am

If you know me at all, you probably know that I accessorize like it’s my job. I would rather spend $100 dollars on different jewelry pieces, belts or hats rather than a sweater and a pair of jeans. Accessories literally turn any outfit from drab to fab, which is why I love them so much.

This Fashionista absolutely killed the accessories game with her amazing statement pieces. I especially loved how she paired both gold and silver pieces to give her look that extra metallic flare. Most people think that gold and silver shouldn’t be paired together like black and navy blue, however there is definitely a way to do it fashionably and tastefully! For starters, this Fashionista’s gold-toned accessories aren’t too extreme. She opted for more rose golds and brassy gold colors rather than yellow golds, which can sometimes look too contrasting or gaudy next to silver pieces. It’s also important to note that she picked one main silver piece, an oversized conch belt, and one main gold piece: a chunky boyfriend watch. That way, the golds and silvers were in balance and one color did not outshine the other.

She completes her look with a trendy corduroy skirt, a simple sweater and tan ankle booties. This is a perfect fall outfit to rock to class or out to lunch with friends on a sunny autumn day.

How To: Opt for a dainty, delicate necklace over a chunky statement necklace when going for a heavily accessorized look to keep your ensemble from going overboard.
