ALL IN THE DETAILS: Tribal-Chic

Almost every girl does one thing right before she leaves the house: she accessorizes. Accessories are what tie the whole outfit together, and can make an average look that much better. One thing that I have found is when accessorizing, one should try to pull the one color in the outfit that doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

This Fashionista did just that. She wore a black and tan flowy tank top that she snagged for a deal from Marshals, as well as Abercrombie & Fitch jeans. She then took that look to the next level by adding a pop of color with her red Steve Madden flats and her mixture of blue and red accessories. She was able to pull the small blue detail from her earrings by adding the blue bracelets. I also really loved the way she started with red at the top (earrings) and then ended with red at the bottom (shoes). She completed the sophisticated tribal look by replicating the elephants that were on her shirt in her earrings.

The one thing that really pulls her outfit completely together is her hair. I have said numerous times that hair can act as your best accessory. She had a very chic haircut, and that played very nicely with the whole ensemble that she presented. This look could’ve have played off very differently if the Fashionista had longer hair or even a different hair color.

How To: If you are looking to make a statement with your outfits without overdoing it, then try wearing neutrals and adding muted colors with your accessories. Like I stated before, try to pull that color that can’t stand out on it’s own, like this Fashionista did with her bracelets and earrings. There are so many different possibilities; you just have to find which one works best for you.
