ALL IN THE DETAILS: Tres Chic Tears

Fall is now in full swing and it is time for oversized sweaters and cute booties.  Fall is so much fun to dress for, from big comfy sweaters to countless booties, there are so many different ways to style any outfit.  With the cooler weather it makes outfit making so much easier and much more diverse. Layers are key during this time of the year, especially with the unpredictable weather we have been having lately.

This Fashionista was seen rocking the destroyed jean look, something that is very in style this season. Tears in jeans make an outfit more interesting and appealing to the eye. The different colors and textures they have create a more distressed look as well. She paired her boyfriend jeans with an olive, off-the-shoulder sweater. Keeping the sweater simple and basic allows for the jeans to be the statement piece in the outfit.

It is important to remember to keep the rest of your outfit simple when wearing torn jeans so that different pieces don’t get overwhelmed. Her light tan booties tie the outfit together and work nicely with the olive colored sweater. Neutrals are very popular this season and are perfect for the fall.  This Fashonista’s bracelet is a fun touch to the rest of the outfit.  The Aztec pattern and pops of bright color are different and interesting details.

How To: Are torn jeans outside of your comfort zone?  Try starting off with a pair that maybe has a few tears that are not so dramatic, and then work your way up.  Wear what you feel comfortable in, even if it is a pair of jeans that has a simple tear right above the knee.
