ALL IN THE DETAILS: Tie The Knot

There are some days when you feel like dressing to the nines and, more often, there are days when wearing your most comfortable wardrobe pieces to class. I am here to say that there can be a compromise between the two very opposing styles. If you are one for both comfort and trendiness, take a look at this Fashionista who brings the two together into one stylish concoction.

This Fashionista started her outfit with a simple black tank top, highly appropriate for the warm spring climate. She paired this with a marsala-colored (color of the year!) skinny jeans, which complemented the dark tones of her overall outfit. What I loved most about this look was the simple, yet chic addition of a denim button-down, tied elegantly around her waist. This helped show off her curves, as well as put the whole look together without masking the different colors. The blue definitely went well with the black and marsala. She added layered gold chain necklaces with stones to bring out more color and texture to her outfit. The length of the chain aligned perfectly with the length of her hair. Talk about symmetry! She finished it all off with a pair of black Chelsea boots and her handy backpack.

How To: If you’re standing in front of the mirror and you realize that your outfit is lacking, try tying a button-down around your waist. Whether it’s plaid or denim, this item will surely pull your look together! Finish it off with a couple dainty pieces of jewelry around your neck and wrists and you’re good to go.
