ALL IN THE DETAILS: These Boots are Made for Walking

We have finally entered spring. But, down here in the South, we have entered into sweltering days and chilly nights, with no in-between. The bipolar weather not only confuses our body temperatures, but also our wardrobe. How does one dress for 60 degree mornings, 85 degree afternoons and 55 degree nights? It is quite difficult, but we have learned how to work our way around it, especially the Fashionistas of the South.

This Fashionista really knows how to dress for the crazy weather of the South (cue “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley). When you look at this Fashionisto, you may think “he has to be hot in a button-down and black skinny jeans,” but apparently this isn’t the case. His shirt is a super thin chambray cotton button-down that keeps him cool in the hot mid-afternoons. His black skinny jeans should be a staple in both men and women’s closets. They go with anything and everything. Currently, I’m shedding a few tears in remembrance of my favorite pair of black skinnies that I recently ripped and couldn’t replaced.

He keeps his accessories simple with a gold Michael Kors watch, gold necklace, some classic aviators and a simple black wool fedora. But, we are really here to talk about his brown suede booties. I have to say, I am a huge fan of men’s booties. From Harry Styles to David Beckham to this Fashionisto, I am a sucker for a man in boots. You can go for a simpler pair like this Fashionisto or a little more dressy like in the link above, but you can never go wrong. They really do pull a look together and make it look more polished than a pair of Nike Roshes.

How To: Booties have become so popular in both men’s and women’s clothing that you can find them practically anywhere. From DSW to Forever 21, you can find booties in all colors and prices. Want to try a new style of booties? Find a pair you like at a cheaper price and try them out, that way if they don’t turn out to be what you wanted, your bank account won’t hate you!
