ALL IN THE DETAILS: The Golden Hour

September 21st, 2016 at 2:00am

With summer winding down and fall quickly approaching, even us Californians need to start adjusting to the change in weather. However, we do happen to have the sun still mostly on our side (no pun intended). That being said, the time has come to start layering up and temporarily parting with open-toed shoes. So why not make the most of it while you still can?

This Fashionista rocks a simple and elegant royal blue romper with a pair of pale pink low-heeled sandals. It is still September after all! However, she does have a classic matching pale pink peacoat waiting in the car, if the cold starts to creep up sooner than expected. A romper is always an easy go-to and the true beauty of it is how seasonally versatile it really is, which is something most do not realize. It is easy to assume that a romper can only really be useful in the summer heat or at the end of spring. However, rompers can transition in to fall with the simple addition of tights or thigh-high socks. Don’t ditch that beautiful and effortless romper just yet!

While a go-to romper is fabulous in itself, the true fascination I had with this Fashionista’s look was with her accessorizing. I pray that the ‘90s choker comeback doesn’t leave too soon because how terrific is that pale pink choker? On the other hand, gold jewelry and gold accents are my weakness and this Fashionista seems to have a similar glorious devotion. A simple outfit (such as a solid-colored romper and low-heels) can gain sophistication and glamour through the addition of jewelry—in this case, gold jewelry. I strongly believe that every ambitious woman should invest in a stylish watch. There is a certain level of finesse that one gains when wearing a beautiful watch. Matching and/or coordinating your additional jewelry in accordance to your watch is the real trick. This Fashionista wears two gold bracelets and two gold and emerald rings, one of each on both hands. While it is not necessary to stick to even numbers and similar styles when accessorizing, it nevertheless does look very stylish. I also believe that jewelry with some sort of significance to you is the best kind. For this Fashionista, the two emerald rings were given to her by her parents at different stages in her life—and that, is perhaps the most beautiful part.

Accessorizing and styling is a true art and an excessive amount of fun, however, when it comes down to it, the best part is how you represent who you are. If you have jewelry or articles of clothing that have special significance to you, those are perhaps the most beautiful items in your wardrobe for that very reason. Let yourself represent your true identity in the simple, yet precious details!
