ALL IN THE DETAILS: The Girl With The Floppy Hat

Oh fall, how we have missed your glorious presence. With the summer season sadly behind us, it is time to embrace change. I know we all hate change, but this one is acceptable. With cool breezes coming our way it is time to dust off our favorite fall staples from our closets. Like the changing of the leaves it is time to change our fashion choices as well.

I caught this Fashionista on campus rocking the floppy hat trend. She decided to pair her hat with a simple off white blousy tank and light washed ripped jeans. She cuffed her jeans and paired them with super fashionable suede booties. This Fashionista seamlessly transitioned her summer wardrobe into fall by adding a pair of booties and a hat. Although she wore this outfit to class she could totally pull this off when going shopping or even out to brunch with her girlfriends

Some of my favorite accessories are associated with fall fashion: army green jackets, scarves, boyfriend jeans, pointy-toed flats, felt floppy hats—the list goes on and on. The floppy hat trend has returned this fall and I couldn’t be happier. We saw this trend come into the picture last fall and now it has secured its spot for another season as a fall must have. This trend has been seen in multiple seasons ranging from warm to cool weather. In the summer, you can wear a straw floppy hat to protect you from the sun while in the fall, you can grab yourself a suede floppy hat to protect you from the chilly weather. Besides being protective, this accessory can make your outfit go from simple and plain to an eye-catching masterpiece.

How To: Not a hat person? Try going for a smaller floppy hat that doesn’t encompass your face as much and make sure when wearing your floppy hat that you don’t wear an outfit that would distract from the accessory.
