“Create your own style…let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.” – Anna Wintour.
As of right now summer is in full swing and Fashionista/os are breaking out all color and eccentric patters in their closets. Don’t get me wrong; I love color and a whole lot of glitz, but when I am shopping for my new summer wardrobe I always try to throw in some classic black pieces into the mix. The color black evokes authority and power, while also giving you a slimmer appearance. Wearing the color black is timeless and will never go out of style.
This Fashionisto caught my eye outside of work the other day while I was on break. He was wearing mostly head-to-toe black with a dash of nude, which is a huge color combination for this season. He paired his black under shirt with some skinny jeans that are cuffed to reveal his awesome leather boots. One of the most unique things about Dustin is his choice of body art and the undercut hairstyle he rocks which gives him a chic edge while rocking the classic Wayfarer Ray-Ban sunglasses. Less is more when it comes to summing up this look.
To achieve Dustin’s look I would start off with a jacket or a great quality leather bomber from AllSaints.
I suggest making the leather jacket or coat your statement piece while layering a basic white or black tee from H&M
under it. Invest in a really good pair of skinny black jeans, such as the black retro skinny jeans from Topman
. When it comes to shoes, always choose quality over anything. Nothing is worse than a great outfit ruined by the wrong shoe. This is why Nordstrom Rack
has become my go to store when it comes getting a quality pair of black shoes for those of us on a college budget. To get some ideals on this rocker look I would check out John Varvatos
fall/winter 2014 menswear collection to pull some inspiration from.
