ALL IN THE DETAILS: Taking Casual to Couture

Who says you can’t wear blazers in the summer? New York’s bipolar weather allows any season trend to be pulled off during summer. Blazers here are worn year-round, not just during the colder months. I have a closet full of blazers that can be added to just about any outfit. When accessorized correctly, a simple blazer can take an outfit from casual to couture. Big Sean said it best, “Sometimes I feel like putting on a blazer with just a T-shirt.” Blazers come in prints, bright colors, dark colors and all types of cuts for different body types. It is a trend that’s been around forever and shows no signs of exiting the fashion world.

This Fashionista caught my eye from blocks away with her bright green blazer, pretty pink lips and bold blue hair. The hues incorporated in her outfit complemented each other so well. She took two simple pieces, a denim skirt and a black crop top, and turned them into a statement outfit. The denim skirt added edge to this Fashionista’s outfit, along with her strappy heels. Her shoes added extra edge to her outfit while the tight fitted blazer and leather Louis Vuitton bag added a touch of class.

This blue haired beauty is pulling off such a bold hair color that collides with the colors found in her clothes and she put the ensemble together perfectly. She proved that you could rock colored hair with colored clothing pieces. What a great summer style! A lot of times, I see typical denim skirts with a denim button-down, but this bold Fashionista took her own route. The ultimate piece that completes her outfit is her statement necklace that covers her entire neck. Without this necklace, the outfit would have a different look.

The details of this outfit were amazing and this Fashionista knew what she was doing. Her classy blazer and perfect shade of blue hair, along with all the details of her pieces, prove that she is destined for the fashion world.

How To: Afraid to rock so many bright colors together like this beauty? Find colors that complement each other well and don’t layer them on top of each other. Grab a classy, bright blazer and add a printed skirt with a pop of color. Black is always on trend and simple, but add some color and have some fun with your wardrobe.
