ALL IN THE DETAILS: Spring Pastels

Normally I spend my time walking through Kent State University and get inspired by all of the well-dressed fashion students on their walk to class. This time, however, I spent the weekend in a whole new town. I visited my sister for a few days at Penn State University and hung out on Old Main watching students play volleyball. To be honest, I was expecting to see a lot of students walking around in sweat pants and wearing a ton of Penn State gear. Not going to lie, I did see a lot of that, but I was surprised to see that a lot of students were on campus wearing cute outfits. I enjoyed this one in particular because it has a spring vibe with bright colors and a new take on a pastel color.

Pastels, especially muted pink and peach, are colors that stand out as favorites for this spring. These colors can be seen everywhere and are in a lotĀ of stores right now. This Fashionista is wearing a pink jacket lined with an azure blue hood. The pop of blue adds a dimension to the look and makes the jacket the standout piece in the outfit.

Still a bit cold outside, this Fashionista paired her jacket with a fun patterned tank and light wash denim jeans. This creates an essence of fun and lightness to the look. Spring has arrived and it shows through this outfit. The pair of brown boots with thick buckles play along with the casual appeal of the outfit. The finishing touch to the look is a simple gold necklace that sits high on the neck. The complete look really puts you in the mood for a fun spring day of chilling out on the Old Main lawn and hanging with friends.
