ALL IN THE DETAILS: Simple Yet Effective

Summer is full of fun and adventure; however, the heat of the season means putting together outfits can be quite difficult. This is especially true when people are unable to include layers in their outfits. As this Fashionista has shown, just because the temperatures are bordering on too hot, that doesn’t mean you can’t be creative and still layer while keeping it comfortable and cool.

This Fashionista started out her look with a navy romper that acts as the base for the more detailed top. The simplicity of the romper makes the outfit look put together without taking away from the details of the white embroidered tunic. The embroidery and cutouts of the tunic make the look pop without making a huge statement. The contrast between the  navy romper and white top also makes it stand out in a crowd. On her feet, she is wearing a pair of mary jane flats in a striking orange color that fits in well with the color scheme on the upper half of her body. For accessories, this Fashionista kept it light with a vintage beaded necklace that is quite long. The length of the necklace is a refreshing accessory that goes against the choker trend that has been around for quite while.

I admit that I have had difficulty myself putting together outfits in the summer, especially when I want to layer. This Fashionista’s outfit is a perfect example of transitioning your style from colder months to the hotter months, all while looking put together.

How To: Layering doesn’t have to mean sweaters and jackets, taking a light and airy shirt over items such as rompers and dresses can give you an outfit that looks chic….and can still keep you cool.
