ALL IN THE DETAILS: Prints on Prints

Mixing different prints is a great way to show off your unique personal style, when done right of course. Some tips for finding the perfect prints pairing? Find two or no more than three prints that have something in common, whether it’s the size of the print or a similar color scheme. However, there’s really no rules when it comes to mixing prints. Just find a pairing that you love!

I had to snap some pictures of this Fashionista’s bold look. She paired a paisley printed button-down shirt with a camouflage cap. I love how she layered the shirt over a crop top. This is a great option if you want to be a little more covered up or protect yourself from the sun. This stylish student was attentive to every little detail. Her platform Birkenstocks, baseball cap and retro mirrored sunglasses complete this cool ensemble. A cute hat is great not only for sun protection, but also for a quick remedy to a bad hair day. I love that this girl isn’t afraid to play with color. I love neutrals, but wearing color once in a while can provide a much needed change and make your day a little brighter.

How To: Want to copy this cool look? Try layering a bright printed button-down shirt over a neutral crop top. Pair with jeans, shorts, a skirt or anything you like. Finish the look with a printed hat. Keep the rest of your accessories neutral to balance out the prints.
