ALL IN THE DETAILS: Pop Of Color

March 19th, 2015 at 2:00am

In Virginia, March always seems to be everyone’s least favorite time to get dressed. It’s so much easier to throw on a pair of black sweat pants and call it a day. You never know if the temperature will rise all the way to the 60’s or if you’ll be stuck with the low 30’s. You might even get both temperatures in one day.

This Fashionisto is a prime example of how to throw in some color on a kind of cold, kind of warm day. He wears a black bomber jacket from H&M and matches it with a gray hoodie that’s also from H&M. Just in case the temperature decides to drop, he layers on his neon yellow Ralph Lauren Collection fleece. He also wore his light wash jeans from Gap that he’d usually wear in the summer. However, they fit perfectly for this outfit.

Although temperature changes can put a damper on our style choices of the day, this Fashionisto managed to allow the weather to influence his look by wearing a pair of Timberland boots. With snow still on the ground, these were the perfect shoes to wear for the day. To finish his outfit off, he wore a tribal patterned baseball-styled hat from Urban Outfitters. This Fashionisto found the best fitting way to add pattern to his outfit without taking away from the effortless feel of the look.

How To: Want to add some color to your outfit on a March day? Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that you can’t! Pair your favorite jeans with a bright sweater that screams summer. Wear those Timberlands one last time before spring is officially in. Even if there’s snow on the ground and it’s kind of getting warmer, don’t be afraid to show off your style and stay warm at the same time.
