ALL IN THE DETAILS: Pick a Piko

We’ve all sent that text to our BFF, “Are you dressing cute?” Because if we’re being honest, sometimes getting ready and looking cute sucks. Being comfortable comes very high on the list of priorities and comfort and style don’t always go hand in hand. Isn’t it time that we stopped sacrificing one for the other? Isn’t it time we looked cute and felt like we were wearing pajamas?

No, this is not an add for pajama jeans. What I am referring to is piko dresses! These dresses are as magical as the jeans from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They fit all shapes and sizes and give everyone that “I look this great on a daily basis” kind of look. That’s why you have probably seen a lot of them this season.

Piko dresses are great in all kinds of weather, which is great for Florida where the weather can be pretty unpredictable. You can wear a piko dress over leggings with boots if its chilly, or show off those legs and swap the boots for ballet flats on days when it feels more like summer than winter.

This week’s Fashionista paired her piko dress with some adorable Steve Madden combat boots. I love how the deep brown tones of her shoes contrast well with her creamy white dress. They add a bit of a tomboy, grunge look to her otherwise very feminine ensemble. Other must-have accessories she added were a Bourbon and Bowties bangle and a beautiful KORS Michael Kors watch.

How To: Piko dresses come in all different colors and are so easy to dress up or down. Going to class? Throw the dress on over some leggings. Going on a date? Wear it with some wedges. This wonderfully versatile dress is great for almost any occasion.
