ALL IN THE DETAILS: Neutral Statement Pieces

Being stylish and warm in 10 degree weather is extremely tough. On one hand, you want to express your style and stay unique. On the other hand, you know you need to stay bundled up if you want to survive throughout the entire day walking around campus. Sadly, here in Minnesota it can get so cold that Fashionistas are forced to leave some of their favorite pieces at home so they can travel safely. Luckily, I found this Fashionista who has balanced the two perfectly by adding in smaller details to stand out from the crowd.

This Fashionista has prioritized wisely and is staying warm with thick black leggings and her winter coat. Not only is it nice and warm, but the hood is lined with fur to add detail to the look. She added this scarf, which is absolutely stunning and has different blocks of earthy tones and colors. Lastly, gold hoops and over-the-knee boots make this casual look a little more fierce.

Anyone who is on a campus that experiences all four seasons, particularly winter, knows the struggle of staying warm and stylish at the same time. With unpredictable wind, rain, snow, or ice, it’s hard to keep up and keep our outfits functionally fashionable. Luckily, balancing the two is possible! So if you find yourself going head on with a chilly breeze and piles of snow, know that you can still be unique and express your individual style. Simply accessorize with some stylish boots and a colorful scarf, and you will be ready to take on the day.
