ALL IN THE DETAILS: Navy on Navy

According to style.com, monochrome dressing is still a top trend, be it black, camel or even tangerine. But the color of choice everywhere was navy. Many guys are being seen wearing deep blue layers with multiple textures from tweed to leather, while girls are being seen showing off their masculine sides with blazers and loose trousers. Not only does navy on navy look sharp, but it’s quick and easy, too. The easiest way to accomplish this major trend is by throwing on a jacket. In minutes, a total outfit can be transformed and pop with color.

This Fashionista decided to put together a little monochrome outfit herself. With the winter cold still in the midst of the semester, it is perfect to throw on a cute warm jacket. She decided to have dress casually rather than trying out a pair of loose trousers. She chose to wear a deep blue peacoat. Instead of wearing a blue top, she chose a gray sweater to help block out the cold. She also decided to wear a light wash blue jean. To finish off her outfit she chose a black pair of tall, slouched boots.

How To: Do you have any blue blazers in your closet? Do not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and don the navy-on-navy look. Pair a simple pair of navy pants or trousers with a cute flowy blouse. For a more subtle look, throw on white T-shirt with a navy blazer and dark wash jeans. No matter what outfit you choose, you will still be looking sharp.
