ALL IN THE DETAILS: Monday Blues

The more I bury myself into this rather diverse industry, the more I find that details are becoming more and more important in a look. No longer is it about the bold labels, large prints or anything too obscene because details have become the new way us Fashionistas/os express the overall trend in our looks.

With this in mind as I started my first day of my second year at fashion school, I was sure to see who was doing their homework on the trends over the summer and I definitely spotted a lot of awesome looks being featured around campus.

This Fashionista really expressed herself well with this look. While she may be sporting a button-down that is very bold, that was surprisingly not the first thing that caught my eye. It was about the way she wore it and how she expressed herself in the look overall. Sure it may be a little contradicting with such a bold print, but once I took a closer look I saw exactly what I wanted to see: beautiful and eloquent details.

The watch that expresses a sad face really is such a fun accessory detail and gives off a Monday blues vibe. Not only that, but it was such a great conversation piece, which is always a good idea for the start of a new adventure with new faces.

How To: Details can be very easily accessible and very free to your own style. If you want to get this look as is or even with your own personal twist on the details, consider a simple top with a fun bracelet or necklace that complements your own personal flare. Just keep in mind that all details are meant to be expressive. Wear what makes you happy and never limit yourself because of a silly standard society may set on the fashion industry.
