ALL IN THE DETAILS: Mom Jeans

Spring has sprung in Arizona, which means that everyone is coming out of hibernation from our “cold” winter. It also means that it’s time for a spring break trip to Cabo, spring training games, Coachella, and more importantly, crop tops and tank tops. But Arizona’s weather is known for being very unpredictable during this time of the year, it could be 90 degrees and sunny one minute, and the next minute it could be 64 degrees and raining, so wearing pants is still socially acceptable.

There is really no better way of transitioning into spring than by wearing tank tops. My Fashionista is sporting a Chloe and Katie cropped tank top in army green, with knitted details bordering the lace-up neckline. Army green and shades of brown have always been some of my favorite color combinations when it comes to clothes, so her chestnut colored booties from Nordstrom BP brought me joy because they perfectly complement her top.

Now getting to my favorite part of this look, the jeans. This Fashionista threw on a pair of high-waisted, distressed mom jeans from Urban Outfitters. The large knee holes are a good transition to shorts weather, and the lightly frayed detail on the bottom of the legs definitely helped give her look some more edge, but it is also a casual outfit to wear to class. This Fashionista was keeping up with the trend of having a bold colored lip; a trend that I desperately wish I could pull off! She put on a red liquid lipstick, which she proudly tells me is a Kylie Lip Kit in the shade Mary Jo K. This Fashionista and I share an obsession with Alex and Ani bangles. Hers are perfect, simple accessories for this detail filled look. Along with her turquoise earrings and her adorable sunglasses from Nordstrom BP, she is more than ready for spring!
