ALL IN THE DETAILS: Make Your Statement

July 23rd, 2015 at 2:06am

My favorite thing about fashion is turning heads and getting a crowd’s attention solely based off of what you are wearing. I love that feeling of knowing that people are eyeing your look, but, of course, you always want it to be in a good way and not because you forgot to take the tag off of your new dress. Whether it’s from your bright pink pumps, your bold braid or the biggest necklace you own, it is so fun to break out a statement piece.

This Fashionista is all about being bold with her look. You can find her rocking her own unique style while also sporting all of the new trends that everyone is scared to try. I spotted her wearing this fabulous printed kimono that flowed behind her as she owned the streets and made them her runway. Underneath this, she keeps it simple with a basic black T-shirt and neutral high-waisted skinny jeans. There is nothing better than taking your simple basics and topping it off with a great cardigan, and she nailed it flawlessly. Not only did she go bold with this kimono, but she also adds a chunky necklace that matches in color and brings some shine to her outfit. The neutral colors of the T-shirt and the skinny jeans balance out the size and bling of her statement necklace.

To finish off her look, this Fashionista kills it in a great pair of shoes. She couldn’t have picked a better shoe than these heeled boots. Not only are heeled booties a huge trend right now, but they go with her color scheme perfectly and give her that height that makes any outfit stand out even more. This Fashionista is tall already, but she owns the added height, so don’t ever be insecure about how tall your heels make you. Have fun and love what you are wearing. Everyone else will, too!

How To: To copy this look, all you need is a couple of basic pieces to start off with and find a great cardigan or piece to layer on top that stands out. Top it off with lots of jewelry and some heeled booties and you’ll be turning heads left and right.
