ALL IN THE DETAILS: Make That Color Pop

Black is a wardrobe necessity. Take a peek into anyone’s closet, and you’re sure to find at least one article of black clothing. For a majority of people, it’s their go-to color which makes sense because it can be casual or professional, but it’s always classy and chic. You can’t go wrong with black.

Having an all-black wardrobe can be helpful. Black pairs well with anything, especially itself, making putting together an outfit easy. However, adding a little color to it has certainly never hurt anybody.

This Fashionista is a big believer in the all-black look. In fact, she claims that her entire wardrobe is that color. To see her sporting any other hue is rare, but as you can see, not entirely uncommon. Like all Fashionistas with an acute sense of style, she can admire the fact that a little color can change an outfit, and she’s not above adding a hint of it to her lips or with her accessories.

One of her favorite ways to add color is with lipstick. It’s a simple gesture that speaks volumes. As of late, she’s preferred mixing her two favorite red lipsticks to reach her desired shade. According to this Fashionista, even though she doesn’t experiment a lot with colors in her wardrobe, she likes exploring and getting creative with her gloss. After lots of trials and errors, she’s finally mastered how many coats of each she needs to reach the exact red she wants.

Another favorite method of adding color is through her accessories. She went with a red purse to match her lip color because if you’re going to add color in more than one form, they may as well match… in fact, they probably should.

For the rest of her outfit, this Fashionista was sporting one of her favorite looks. As a college student on the cusp of entering the professional world, her go-to outfit has evolved from skinny jeans and a T-shirt to skinny jeans and a blazer.

A blazer is a great addition to any outfit. It’s sharp edges give anyone a confident look. A blazer says you can double down and get the work done. It may even give you the extra boost you need to take charge on a project or ace that interview. Regardless what you wear the blazer for, it makes a statement. It’s also a flexible article of clothing that can be dressed up with a blouse or dressed down with a V-neck shirt like the one this Fashionista is wearing.

Her outfit is topped off with a sleek pair of earrings and her favorite pair of designer heels. The earrings can be worn with or without the hoops. The silver paint and basic shape make them compatible with any outfit, black or not. The shoes complete the all-black look and add a sense of femininity with the cut out design.

All in all, with her black wardrobe prepped and her red lipstick on hand, this Fashionista is ready to rock whatever comes her way be it midterms or an interview.
