Lollapalooza is Chicago’s biggest music event of the summer. People from all maps of the world venture out to see some wicked concerts in this beautiful city. But when going to a summer festival, music isn’t the only important aspect. We can’t forget about the fashion. Duhhh. We all knew that.
Considering Lollapalooza offers a large variety of music genres, each festival goer tends to tailor their look to their favorite one. Excuse my sass, but in my opinion, only few succeed in truly pulling off their desired look. Dressing to impress can be tough, especially if you’re not exactly a player in the fashion game. However, this boho babe definitely rocked her ensemble. I mean, if you’ve got it, flaunt it, right? And well…this chick has got it going on.
My favorite piece of this Fashionista’s outfit is her white, floral-printed kimono. The pattern is elegant yet fun, and the shorts and crop top coordinate perfectly. I like this Fashionista’s mode of thinking. She focused on three colors: olive green, maroon and white. Adding too many colors might have been a distraction. Plus, when working with a limited amount of colors, you have a lot more flexibility when creating your groovy getup. These three colors achieve utter harmony and truly make this look as bold as can be. To top it all off, she chose some killer accessories. I mean, c’mon, this gypsy look wouldn’t be complete without a set of shades, a head wrap and some funky jewelry. Combined with her long, luscious locks, we’ve got a fashion killer on our hands. A job well done, missy!
How To: Are you ready to release your inner festival freak? Simple. Kimonos are just about the coolest thing since sliced bread. Check out PacSun, Tilly’s, Free People or Forever 21. For the shorts, crop top and accessories, any of those listed stores would work. Here’s an extra tip: many websites even offer a festival fashion section. You’re in luck; your festival attire is just a click away. Don’t be afraid to give this look a try. This Fashionista gave us a tutorial beyond compare. Thanks for blessing us with your good vibes, Lollapalooza Lady.
