ALL IN THE DETAILS: Lights, Camera, Patterns

With fall comes neutrals, layers and best of all— inspiring prints and patterns. I couldn’t get enough of the intricate patterns showcased by the designers at New York Fashion Week. They are a great way to spice up any wardrobe, and they are perfect for fall. Each and every print exudes a unique vibe, so don’t be afraid to flaunt all the new patterns that speak to you.

When all else fails, pull out your go-to prints. This Fashionista nailed the difficult and often times confusing transition from summer to fall with her beautifully detailed dress. The bohemian pattern is a perfect combination of light brown and creamy hues with free flowing material that moves in the breeze. The boho-chic print is a great combination of fresh neutrals. I also adore how this Fashionista decided to let her grey lace bralette peak out from underneath her dress— the lace keeps her look interesting with the extra layer of texture. Her choice to wear grey was brilliant because it complements the color scheme of the pattern on the dress.

In continuation, this Fashionista effortlessly wore black ankle booties, which lend to an unexpected element of edginess to her chic ensemble. She finished her look with bold jewelry that she creatively layered: various length necklaces, a silver statement watch and unique rings. Let’s be honest here, that champagne nail polish is perfection.

How To: When styling yourself, you must first determine which season you are closest to in order to choose what color palette and pattern to wear. For example, a palm print dress exudes summer vibes while a leopard print shift dress leans more towards fall. From there, it’s easy to find an article of clothing like a dress, top or even pants with a vibrant pattern to match the season and, more importantly, your attitude. Happy print shopping!
