ALL IN THE DETAILS: Knot to Be Messed With

June 30th, 2015 at 2:00am

Typically when I use the word knot, it’s when I’m yelling about how impossible it is to untangle the mess on top of my head I call hair, but not today. Today is all about this RAD knotted, asymmetrical skirt in a ruby red color worn by this Fashionista! All outfits need that one piece that sets it apart from every other ensemble, and this skirt you see right here is it. The knot creates this intense ruched look on the sides, which makes it super flattering on every body type. The skirt hits just above the belly button, which makes a crop top an ideal complementary piece.

To me, this outfit is a great go-to for any summer occasion, day or night. It can be dressed down or dressed up just by switching up your shoes and jewelry. She kept the jewelry very casual with a simple gold cross. Her shoes on the other hand are a statement on their own. These calf length gladiator sandals have been trending recently for the past couple summers, and they just keep coming back. They give the look an edgy feel that you just can’t accomplish with regular sandals. To complete the look, she pairs the skirt with a plain black crop top, which makes the deep red color pop even more.

How To: Want to try this look out for yourself? It’s quite simple. Just grab a neutral color top and find that perfect color knotted skirt, then pair with your favorite shoes and add some jewelry to make it your own!
