ALL IN THE DETAILS: Keeping It In The Comfort Zone

Since summer is finally here, it is time to bring out those legs and soak up the sun. The hot and humid weather makes it essential to leave the pants behind and bring forward the breezy dresses.

It is always said that less is more, and this Fashionista’s outfit defines just that. By incorporating simple accessories to her button-down dress she creates a minimalistic look that has been trending this spring and summer season. From her sleek Ray-Ban Clubmasters all the way down to her platform sandals (similar ones here), the accessories add just the right amount of chicness. She strapped on a sand colored leather and silver detailed watch to keep this outfit in the neutral range of colors. Adding contrast to the dark black and blue hues with a touch of light wash denim, she wore an American Apparel backpack.

The lightweight fabric of her navy blue dress (similar one here) provides the perfect combination of comfort and style. The subtle gold detailing in the buttons on her dress emphasize the frames on her shades and the buckles on her sandals, transforming the common T-shirt dress into a much more sophisticated look.

How To: To create your own minimalistic summer look you can add a simple necklace over a T-shirt dress of a single color, and pair it with statement sandals. If you have a patterned dress you can skip the necklace, and wear a watch like this Fashionista did. Keep it monochromatic with a sun hat of a similar tone and you have yourself a fashionably simple and breezy outfit!
