ALL IN THE DETAILS: It’s Time For The Man Pack

For most men, accessories are out of the question. They think of their pockets as their purse, and that wallets are the only acceptable accessory to own. Well, times are changing and so is the status quo that men cannot use a carrier for their things. Looking at street style from NY Men’s Fashion Week, many men were spotted carrying satchels, briefcases and backpacks.

I saw this fashion star walking down the street and immediately caught the glimpse of his “on-trend” backpack. Not every backpack will support this trendy look, but since his is a different material than an athletic bag, it works. His black leather backpack brings his colorful look to the next level of style.

The neutral toned backpack makes it easy for him to play up his look. His blue shirt and coral shorts add a nice pop of color to a nice summer outfit. Lets just take a look at how he has buttoned up his shirt all the way. Lately, I have been loving this look because it adds a touch of sophistication and class to an overall casual look.

Since his outfit is extremely colorful, he coordinates his shoes with his backpack. Instead of going for black running shoes, he chooses a pair of Converse style sneakers that keep this look casual and trendy. Remember, running shoes are only for the gym, boys.

In the end, it is socially acceptable for men to carry something other than a wallet. Sure, don’t choose the satchel that Allen chose to wear in The Hangover. Instead, choose something that has a material and style that fits you; leather is always a safe bet. It will take any outfit from drab to fab.

How To: On a day when you have a lot to do, choose a nice leather backpack to put all of your things in that you can carry around with you. It is a practical decision for anyone to make, but will make your outfit that much trendier.
