ALL IN THE DETAILS: High-Low Can You Go

I love an outfit that pays attention to detail. From afar, an outfit can look basic or simple. Then, as you get up close, you can really spot all of the details and little things about an outfit that make it unique. Details can alter the entire look of an outfit. They complement what you’re already wearing and contribute to the intricacy of a look. An outfit without details is like food with no flavor; it gets the job done, but you’re left still hungry, wanting more and dissatisfied with the blandness of what you’ve encountered.

I admire this Fashionista’s take on sorority rush. While most girls opt for a dress and heels, I spotted this stylish Fashionista pairing a tribal crop top with a blue high-low skirt. The crop top was a daring choice, but paired with the skirt, she can pull it off effortlessly. The high-low skirt adds depth to the outfit with its altering length and flowy appearance. I love how these skirts defy fashion norms and add a new spin on old ways. It’s more like a “party in the front, business in the back” kind of feel with this outfit; while the front of the skirt radiates a fun, flirty vibe, the back of the skirt gets down to business with a more modest length.

As I dug beneath the surface of the outfit, I was thrilled to find the small details that this Fashionista had decided to include. The statement necklace featuring a map of the world really caught my eye. This is my favorite piece of the outfit and a true conversation starter as well. Only a few bracelets accentuated the look, but the Fashionista’s gorgeous nails stole the show instead. Finally, a pair of nude, neutral wedges completed the outfit, keeping the look classy and not over the top.

It truly is all in the details. An outfit can go from drab to fab in an instant by adding a few cute accessories that won’t overpower the outfit but rather complement it. I love being able to find all the minor things that make an outfit unique, and I hope I’ve inspired you all to accessorize your outfits with your own personal touch. Add a little bit of you to any look; give people something to remember you by, and leave a little trace of your style wherever you go.
