ALL IN THE DETAILS: Hats On

April 14th, 2015 at 2:10am

Spring and summertime in Florida is what gives the Sunshine State its name. With extremely bright sunshine all the time, you shouldn’t let sun protection kill your vibe. Protecting your skin and eyes from the bright rays of sun is a necessity here in Florida, but that doesn’t mean your personal style should suffer. Adding sun protection to your look doesn’t have to be a drab; this Fashionista shows us just how rad it can be.

Wide-brimmed hats have been going in and out of trend for as long as I can remember. This season, they are definitely a must-have. This Fashionista is rocking her Panama hat with ease. Her all-black hat is the perfect amount of contrast with her otherwise light look. Black is definitely a controversial color in the spring and summer months, but I am a firm believer that it is an all year around shade.

To balance out her look, this Fashionista has on a white midi dress with a minimalist flower print on the front. The simplicity and lightweight fabric of this dress is perfect for all of your summer concert and festival needs. To add a bit of dimension to her outfit, she has on a sleeveless floral print kimono. I absolutely love the unique cut of this kimono; it’s not too often that you see a kimono without sleeves!

This Fashionista keeps her accessories minimal. She has on an interesting geometric patterned necklace. I love how the floral print of her kimono and the triangle shapes in her necklace contrast! For shoes, she keeps up with the black shades in her Panama hat with a pair of black lace-up kicks. The silhouette of these shoes definitely adds some personal flare to her overall ensemble.

How To: Never thought you were a hat person? Think again! Hats come in all different shapes, sizes and colors meaning more likely than not you’ll be able to find your perfect fit! Pair your new hat with your favorite festival season look; be sure to include lots of floral!
