ALL IN THE DETAILS: Hats Off To Fall

Realistically, it may still be summer, but we’re already feeling fall in the air. And, not the mention that Pumpkin Spice Lattes are already available at Starbucks—a sign that the best season is right around the corner. But our Starbucks order isn’t the only thing reminding us that it’s fall—our closets are as well. We’ve seen floppy hats all summer, but they were usually paired with sundresses, bohemian blouses or beachwear. This fall, these felt hats are cold weather pieces, and they can be paired with anything from long sleeve dresses and tights to turtlenecks and denim.

This Fashionista is rocking a simple yet eye-catching print dress from H&M, which she paired with nude booties and, of course, an adorable black felt hat (which caught my eye immediately). The black hat complements her red hair, making for a fun and sleek contrast. This effortless look is completed with a long necklace and arm candy.

Regardless of the season, felt hats are here to stay. We have seen them all over our favorite Instagram accounts, and now we’re seeing them all around campus. They’re versatile enough to wear to class, a trip to the mall or for Sunday morning brunches with the girls. They add something special to any outfit.

How To: Felt hats are the perfect addition to any outfit, especially if you skipped washing your hair that morning (don’t worry, we’ve all done it). This fall, add a felt hat to any outfit of your choice and see how much it adds to your look! I suggest a pair of black skinny jeans, a basic tank top and an oversized cardigan to get the full fall look.
