ALL IN THE DETAILS: Go for Gold

Seasons come and go but style is eternal and internal. Right now, we find ourselves in that awkward, transitional stage between seasons; however, this is prime time for your style to shine with the sunlight and find the perfect balance between summer and fall. So, Fashionistas and Fashionistos, grab your passports and my hand, and we will make your style come alive every weekend (sorry, I couldn’t help but drop the Taylor Swift bomb).

Let’s start with the flawless accessories. This style goddess has a headband, sunglasses and gold accessories that do not compete with each other; but rather, they balance each other out. So let’s start from the top with headbands. When selecting a headband, a few things need to be taken into account. If the headband has a design/pattern, make sure it is one of the staple pieces of your outfit. Tone down your overall look by using neutral or solid color tops/bottoms to make your headwear the center of attention. On the other hand, if you have a solid color headband, make sure your top has a unique design, pattern or twist to truly get the wow factor.

Now, let’s touch on her golden accessories. This Fashionista is sporting two Alex and Ani bracelets, a gold watch and a confidence that is gold medal worthy. For those of you who don’t know what Alex and Ani bracelets are, they are a style of bangles that have an attached symbol that have greater symbolic meanings of certain personality characteristics. This is just one of the many ways you can connect your individual style with your inner core being for the world to see. With that being said, that leads me to one thing that I want you guys to take away from all of my articles as well. The clothes you wear, and the style you embody (although they may be different for everyone) should make you feel confident, but they should also be a physical representation of who you are or who you want to be. Your clothes should make you feel like a gold medal winner.

While you’re going for gold in the style Olympics, make sure you’re dressed for the weather. This Fashionista has an olive camisole, a pair of boyfriend jeans and a pair of open toe booties that truly work in harmony to create a perfect masterpiece. This outfit is truly perfect for an effortless night on the town that will leave everyone drooling from miles away.

How To: There’s more than one way to go for gold medal in style, but you can get a head start on the competition with gold accessories, and an iconic pair of sunglasses to complete and not compete with your outfit. Remember, complete not compete.
