ALL IN THE DETAILS: Glasses And Prints

I am not sure why, but I don’t wear many colors or prints. My favorite colors to wear are black, white, gray, navy and the occasional burgundy. Safe, classic colors are great to have in your wardrobe, but sometimes you need to add some patterns and fun to your looks. Since the winter here in Columbia hasn’t been too pleasant with freezing mornings and snowy afternoons, I’ve been wearing my navy sweater everyday and, frankly, got quite bored of it. What can be better than to substitute your go-to sweater with a colorful cardigan?

This Fashionista’s look is still simple and casual, but all the details make the outfit. Her chunky cardigan has all the classic favorite colors combined in the Aztec pattern. The cardigan keeps her warm and adds color to an otherwise black and white look. Her gold chain with a sun-like pedant and a black stone creates a prefect vibe with the cardigan. It’s laid back and a little hippie. Matching rings add a nice touch to the look. Small dainty earrings are great since they don’t overpower her glasses and necklace. This Fashionista’s glasses can be easily called a statement piece. Hipster looking frames go perfectly with the rest of the accessories and the feel of the look. It’s a great example of how glasses can transform the whole look. Black combat boots are a perfect finish to the outfit.

How To: Start with a simple beige sweater, and pick a fun cardigan. Any color or pattern would work in this case. Add some jewelry, and don’t forget some cool vintage glasses.
