ALL IN THE DETAILS: Flower Power

As small as they may be, details are what fully bring an outfit together—they’re the glue that holds the ensemble in place. Whether it’s a shade of lipstick or pair of sunglasses, the impact details can have on an outfit should never be underestimated. It’s easy to fall short in paying close attention to details—it can be a tedious task, especially in the unbearable heat of summer when all anyone wants to wear is a bikini, but it’s definitely worth the while to do so. The amount of detail can really make or break an outfit, and this Fashionista knew just the right amount of floral print to make her outfit pop! Sporting floral cotton capris and a classic white blouse, she gives off an effortlessly chic vibe while still looking like she put thought into her outfit.

From afar, it looks as though this Fashionista is wearing a colorful pair of capri jogger pants with randomly dispersed colors throughout. Upon closer look, however, you notice the elegant and girly floral print of the capris. Not only does this steer these bottoms away from being just another basic pair of jogger pants, but it gives the outfit an added edge. She decided to pair her adorable capris with a classic button-up white blouse to balance out the busy detailing of her bottoms. This outfit not only looks extremely comfortable, but also appears as the perfect combination of light and airy for the hot summer days. For shoes, this Fashionista paired her outfit with black, strappy sandals that scream summer! You can never go wrong with black, as these sandals tie the outfit together by complementing the black in her floral bottoms to create a chic ensemble.

This look was finished off by throwing on some simple accessories: a dainty watch, beaded bracelet and stud earrings to show off that bling-bling!

How To: When it comes to adding detail to your outfits, start small! Adding a few small details here and there, like some fun prints or a small pair of earrings, can make all the difference in an outfit. Your mother wasn’t kidding when she told you that “less is more,” but then again, mothers always know best.
