ALL IN THE DETAILS: Floral Fever

The warm spring weather has finally arrived. Spring fever is among us Marist students, and we are antsy to participate in the many events held on campus and off. Fashionistas are excited to finally bring out the spring clothes that have been collecting dust in the back of their closets and head out on the many adventures that spring has to offer.

A major trend for spring is floral. The bright colors and patterns are exhilarating. After a long winter of dull colors and patterns, a brightly colored floral dress can freshen up any Fashionista’s look. This Fashionista pulled off her brightly colored floral dress very nicely. The rope belt around the dress adds more texture and interest to the dress. She paired a leather jacket and boots with the dress to stay warm. Although the weather has warmed up, it is not quite warm enough to break out the flip flops or go out without a jacket.

I loved this Fashionista’s Betsey Johnson watch. The hearts give the outfit a flirty and girly feel and complement the girly silhouette of the dress. Her rings are also interesting and help to complete the outfit.

Florals are the perfect transitional pattern for spring. Every Fashionista should get their hands on a floral dress this season! Like Miranda Priestly says, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”

How To: Pair any floral dress with a leather jacket and boots to make the perfect transitional outfit into spring. Wrap a rope belt around your waist to make the dress more flattering and girly!
