Here in Syracuse, it’s finally (sort of) starting to feel like spring. In between random days of snowfall, we’ve been experiencing above negative weather and that just means, no bulky winter coats and ugly snow boots! While it’s not exactly bikini weather yet, a consistent accessory on Fashionistas on campus throughout the cold weather has been finger candy, otherwise known as rings.
While we’re all too familiar with arm candy, that’s so last season. This winter/spring, finger candy has made its debut and is definitely here to stay. From midi rings and stacked sets to ornate statement rings and the classic designs, rings are those accessories that always add a tad more flair to any outfits. As Queen Bey said, “If you like it, then you should have put a ring on it”—don’t wait for a man to get you one, go ahead and pamper yourself with all the finger fashions.
This Fashionista showed us how just a few rings can add on a ton of personality to an outfit. Wearing a great combination of three different ring styles—statement, metal and dainty—she also dressed up her wrists with a classy watch and a delicate bangle. Seeing as Syracuse is experiencing that weird in-between weather, she wore a warm sweater and dark jeans but dressed things up with a unique colored faux fur vest. Finally being able to trade in bulky snow boots for cuter footwear, she donned leather boots with strap accents and slid on her sunnies to block out those sun rays.
How To: Want to stand out from the crowd without being over the top? Throw on a pair of rings! A subdued style addition, rings are a dress up detail that make you feel oh-so-edgy. Try the trendier midi rings or stick to the classics, either way, dress up those digits.
