ALL IN THE DETAILS: Eyelet It Slide

As we’re fully immersed in winter, it can get harder and harder to dress for it, especially as a busy college student who idolizes accessibility and comfort over everything else. However, just because something is comfortable doesn’t mean that it can’t be stylish!

I’ve definitely been stuck in ruts where I just throw on the first thing I see in my closet. This usually results in me wearing either a crewneck or an oversized sweater with a pair of leggings. But, I eventually find myself yearning for a change, a way to mix up my outfit without giving up comfort or ease. A great way to implement this is by wearing a simple outfit filled with subtle details.

This Fashionista’s outfit exudes comfort, simplicity and her personal style! Instead of pairing her dark washed jeans with a plain white T-shirt, this Fashionista is wearing a white peplum top with both eyelet and lace detailing. The detailing is very subtle yet key to the outfit since it adds extra elements to the outfit. Moreover, you should take advantage of this mild winter and opt for a pair of riding boots rather than a typical pair of snow boots. If you want to mix it up further, I would recommend diverting from the traditional black riding boots for a dark brown or a navy. Lastly, this Fashionista finishes her look with a geometric necklace that adds pop of color, a few stackable rings, topped off with plum nails. In all, this outfit is an effortless yet stylish outfit!

How To: Instead of falling into the rut of winter, play around with your outfit by choosing pieces with detailing. For example, you can still wear a sweater, but instead of a plain, monotone one you should choose one with maybe a flyaway back, lace trim or even sequins! However, if you choose the monotone sweater you can still elevate it by adding subtle jewelry.
