ALL IN THE DETAILS: Denim Obsession

I am not sure about you, but I’ve seen insane amounts of denim the past couple months. This trend is big and quite frankly I am obsessed with it. Anything denim my eye has been drawn too. Whether it is denim on denim, denim shirts, shorts or dresses! Another thing I love about it is you can definitely dress it up or dress it down depending on the occasion. It is so versatile, which makes it so easy for everyone to incorporate into an outfit.

Enough about me rambling about how much I love denim and lets talk about this Fashionista’s denim ensemble. She is wearing a button-down denim shirt. This color denim is perfect because you can pair it with many different options. Considering there is so many different washes of denim anybody can find their perfect piece when shopping.

In this case, she styled the medium wash denim button-down with beige shorts and booties. The shorts give off that perfect summer vibe because of the light material and the color. I personally loved how she mixed in all the different warm earth tones throughout the outfit. The booties are the perfect touch, dressing up the outfit. If you wanted to keep the outfit on the more casual side you could always wear some lace-up gold sandals. Personally, I love heels. Anytime I get the chance to wear heels I will. She also accessorized the denim button-down with a cream-colored crop top. This is not your average crop top it has a lot of detail so it added more to the outfit instead of layering the button-down. The crisscross pattern in the top added structure to the casual outfit.

How To: Do you want to incorporate more denim into your closet? Go for it! Figure out which type of denim you like, whether it be light wash, medium wash or dark wash. Then, try veering away from jeans and go for the denim dress or top.  Take the time to venture to a thrift shop to find unique pieces to add to your look. Make the denim piece your statement in the outfit. I promise you, you’ll love it!
