ALL IN THE DETAILS: Cuties in Booties

Who said you can only wear booties in the fall? Not this Fashionista! With the cooler start to summer, Fashionistas across upstate New York have to bend current fashion trends in order to be comfortable in the cooler weather. Booties have become extremely trendy recently and I am ready to go out and buy a million new pairs. Not only are they very comfortable, but they can make any simple outfit look as if you just stepped off of the runway.

This Fashionista is wearing brown peep toe booties with an adorable cutout design. These are a versatile wardrobe piece because they can be worn with jeans, a sundress or so much more! Booties can also be found in so many different styles and colors making them extremely useful. Another way I find them versatile is the way they fit many different styles. Depending on the booties you wear and the way you style them you can change your look from hipster to preppy in a snap.

These shoes are a pivotal part of this Fashionista’s outfit. She used them to change a casual outfit of jeggings and a tank top to a fashion-forward outfit that makes her look very put together. In this case she styled her booties with a pair of black jeggings, an olive tank top and an adorable jean jacket. The use of neutral colors allows her to carry trends from season to season. It is also possible to shift this look from day to night by getting rid of the jean jacket and adding a chunky statement necklace. This summer I have also become obsessed with sundresses. Throw a pair of booties into the mix and you have perfect brunch attire!

How To: Unsure about how to incorporate an awesome pair of booties into your wardrobe? Go for a neutral brown or black pair at first that will match with many different clothing items. Look for comfort as well as style. No woman should ever have to spend a day in shoes that don’t make her look and feel her best. Once you have found a pair you’re comfortable in, wear them with your favorite boyfriend jeans, dresses or even skirts. What better way to look like you just walked off the runway than with a rocking pair of shoes!
