The school year has just begun and summer is slowly coming to an end. As we are all trading in our tank tops and sandals for riding boots and vests, end-of-summer fashion is in full swing. This time of year is full of club meetings and interviews, from sorority recruitment to student government. While I was on campus, I spotted this Fashionista on her way to an audition for a competitive club.
This Fashionista is wearing one of my favorite looks from this season. She is rocking a classic black blouse with a white, embellished, pointed Peter Pan collar. There’s just something classic about a Peter Pan collar that I love. It is so sophisticated, yet playful. These collars are seen in every season and rarely go out of style. The simplicity makes it a classic. This dainty detail adds a feminine touch to any outfit and come in many shapes and styles. Most Peter Pan collars are rounded, but this Fashionista takes this collar to the next level with embellished tips, perfect for dressing up this look.
Her shirt is complemented with flowy, high-waisted, jewel tone bohemian shorts. Her go-to bag is a gray and cream color-block kate spade Cedar Street Maise handbag, which she loves because it “goes with everything”. The look is completed with tan suede loafers, also a classic. She perfectly styles this outfit by balancing out the harsh lines of the top with soft style of the shorts. She is definitely dressed for success!
