ALL IN THE DETAILS: Chain, Chain, Chain

Although fall has officially set in, Columbus always seems a little late to the game when it comes to season changes. Not to mention, Ohio weather can go from sunshine and 70 degrees to snow flurries in less than a day. When the weather is uncertain it becomes even more difficult to pick out an outfit in the morning. During this transitional time, it can be tough to pick one season’s color palette, so neutrals are always a great choice. However, spicing up your outfit with unique details is a great way to keep transitional outfits from being lackluster.

This Fashionisto caught my attention because his outfit is anything but boring! He stuck to a simple black and white color theme; however, his accessories really make the look. He dressed up his plain T-shirt and hat with statement-making shorts, fun shoes, quirky sunglasses and some major bling. Although the patterns found in his shorts and shoes certainly stand out, it’s the jewelry that really ties this look together.

The chain and watch instantly dress up the look and draw attention to this style star. These accessories instantly add a cool factor to his outfit. The chain throws a nod back to early 2000s hip-hop style but he keeps it fresh and up-to-date by mixing it with other modern trends like black and white minimalism, athletic wear and round sunglasses.

How To: If you’re looking to dress up a safe, transitional outfit try out a chain or watch like this Fashionisto. However, if you’re not big on jewelry, a statement pair of sunglasses is sure to make you stand out on campus too! Or if the weather is chilly, grab a trendy jacket and layer your look. Always remember, wear what makes you comfortable and wear it with confidence!
