ALL IN THE DETAILS: Bootie, Bootie Walking Everywhere

As the temperature in Connecticut steadily drops from 50 to 20-degrees, it is easy to get sucked into a fashion slump. What’s a Fashionista to do? All we want is comfort and to throw on some leggings and UGGs. Luckily there are still Fashionistas around campus that inspire me to always look my best and never fall into this fashion slump.

This week, one Fashionista took a step in the right direction. Seeing her strappy Free People booties was like love at first sight. They have the signature Free People vintage style, which pulled her simple boho ensemble together. The booties are a perfect way to feel just a little bit taller with two-inch heels. It adds a lot of style without looking overdone when walking to class. I obsess over booties like these are because they’re a nice alternative from your everyday boot. An accessory like these update your entire look but still give off a vintage vibe!

This Fashionista also rocked one of this season’s hottest trends: a floor-length cardigan sweater. The lace on her sleeves emphasizes her edgy, boho style by adding some fun detailing. This sweater can double up as a jacket too, if you don’t feel like wearing your puffy winter coat around campus. Her jewelry accents were also on point. She flaunted a beautiful statement necklace, a ring and a Marc Jacobs watch.

How To: So you just went out and bought your very own pair of booties and want to know how to accessories them? No need to panic. You can wear them with numerous outfits. You simply pair it with a cardigan like this Fashionista did, or you can go dressy and pair it with a skirt and blouse. The options are endless. Once you add your own style to it, you will be a Fashionista in no time.
