ALL IN THE DETAILS: Blue Jeans

Have you ever imagined your life without a pair of jeans? I can’t. The first pair of blue jeans were designed in 1873 by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss. Today, we still place these blue jeans in our closet. Jeans are like your best friend, always there when you need them. Ever since I watched The Sisterhood Of Traveling Pants I knew the important role they play in my closet. The great thing is that there is a style for every personality, for example there are skinny jeans, boot-cut, boyfriend and many more. Good jeans are essential and once you have found a great pair, hold on tight to them because you have found your denim soulmate!

On a warm sunny afternoon, this Fashionista was standing on the corner of 13th street with her shades on. She had a great way of making her outfit do the talking, which immediately drew my attention. I loved the way she styled her outfit with a long jacket vest, button-down shirt and ripped denim. Her outfit had a lovely use of blue monochromatic tones.

Ever since the weather got warmer, I have spotted many people wearing ripped jeans and pairing them with light colors. The navy blue vest on top of her button-down shirt made her look chic and fabulous and she didn’t need the sunglasses for that. However, the shades added a great touch to the outfit, they just scream, “I’m too cool for school.”

We should thank Davis and Strauss for designing the timeless blue jeans, my life wouldn’t be the same without them.

How To: Have fun with your pair of jeans and add some great staples like this Fashionista did with her sunglasses.
