ALL IN THE DETAILS: Black Attack With Blue Hues

Spring “sprung” for a few weeks and summer came at us fast. New York City is now dealing with 84-degree days and 60-degree nights. To a lot of people, summer means putting the black away and bringing out the bright colors. However, in this city, all-black is year-round. This Fashionista showed us how to incorporate some blue hues into the ever-so-chic all-black attire.

Rocking her Ray-Ban sunnies, this Fashionista was prepared for a hot day. Tucked into her black skinny jeans was a sheer breezy black tank top topped off with a fabulous elongated vest. As for her daring details of pops of color, she sported a baby blue handbag, baby blue polished nails and small blue pearls. All of these details added much more sophistication to her already sophisticated outfit.

All-black ensembles are chic, slimming, bold and easy to put together. The late Coco Chanel, the originator of the Little Black Dress, always added pearls to her outfits. The modern day Fashionista still follows this trend but adds pops of color. In a city full of people, it’s important to have details in your outfit which will allow you to stand out in the crowd. Whether it’s a bold baby blue bag or red lipstick, anything goes.

How To: Are you one who always sticks to all black attire and avoids color at all costs? Do you want to expand your wardrobe’s color palette just a bit? Well have no fear—you absolutely can. Throw on your favorite pair of black skinny jeans, wear a breezy and simplistic tank top (which will be perfect for the 84 degree weather), add in the aforementioned bold baby blue handbag and you’ve got yourself a perfect summer outfit.
